Are New Years Eve cruises in NYC fun? What kind of crowd can i expect?

I want to know if anybody had an experience of spending NYE on a cruise. Is it mostly younger people, singles or couples?

Usually all couples because they fill up the cruise with tables and single people usually get general admission tickets instead of tables. Usually big groups of couples are at cruises.
